Staurogyne repens

Staurogyne repens. This hardy, small stem plant grows short, teardrop shaped bright green leaves. It spreads via horizontal creeping shoots which are encouraged by topping and replanting the longest main stems. In this way, Staurogyne repens can be used to create dense carpets quickly in both high tech and low tech aquariums.

This plant is easy to grow, requiring moderate lighting and regular fertilisation or nutritious substrate. CO2 injection is not required but will help create more bushy and rapid growth of stems.
